Subscriber Terms

How paid household subscriptions work once billing is enabled.

Draft — counsel approval required. This document must be reviewed by qualified United States and Canadian counsel before any paid public launch.

Current status

Paid subscriptions are not on sale. Billing is switched off, no price is published in the product, and no card can be charged. These terms describe how a subscription will work when it is deliberately enabled.

What a subscription covers

A subscription is per household and is managed by the household owner or an admin. It adds subscriber features such as extra watch locations, deterministic threshold notices and the daily brief. It never adds emergency dispatch of any kind.

Core features stay free

If a subscription ends, lapses or is cancelled, your household keeps its core preparedness and emergency features and keeps its data. Subscriber-only extras simply stop.

Price, renewal and payment

Price and currency come from the payment provider at checkout time and are shown before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Stripe processes payments and issues receipts and invoices; OffGrid stores no card details.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, subscriber features continue for a short grace period while the payment method is updated. After that they switch off and core features remain.
