Privacy Notice
What OffGrid stores, who processes it, and how to export or delete it.
What we store
Account details (email, display name, preferences); household records you create (members, needs, contacts, kits, checklists, plans, drills, recovery tasks, power assets and outage logs); locations you save; documents you upload to the vault; support requests and feedback; and technical records such as audit events and delivery attempts.
Location data
Saved locations are used to show weather and to match hazard areas. A precise address is never sent to an AI model, to analytics, or to a shop. Coordinates are sent to the weather and mapping providers only when you ask for a refresh, a map or an address lookup, and a saved address is never re-sent without your action.
Who processes data for us
Hosting, database, authentication and file storage: Lovable Cloud. Weather: OpenWeather. Maps and address lookup: Google Maps Platform. Hazard feeds: NWS, ECCC, USGS, GDACS. Assistant: the Lovable AI gateway. Physical goods: Shopify. Payments, when enabled: Stripe, which holds card details — OffGrid never sees them.
Email, push, analytics and error monitoring providers are currently switched off. Nothing is sent to them.
Community reports
A community report you publish is visible to other OffGrid users in the area you choose, with your display name. Do not include your exact address, other people's details, or anything you would not want shared.
Your rights
You can download a JSON export of your account and household records from Settings, and you can delete your account from Settings. Deleting an account removes your identity, your vault files and a household you solely own.
Retention and security
Records are kept while your account exists, apart from technical logs kept for a short period for security. Data is separated per household by database access rules; vault files are private to their owner.
